At Falgout Homes, building custom homes isn’t just what we do — it’s the legacy we’ve been proud to uphold since 1976. Based in Raceland, Louisiana, we’ve built our reputation on honest work, true craftsmanship, and a genuine commitment to the families we serve.
Our approach has always been simple: listen well, build with care, and deliver a home that stands the test of time. Whether we’re crafting a brand-new custom home or renovating an existing space, every project is guided by the same core values that have shaped our business from the beginning — honesty, quality, and complete client satisfaction.
We are deeply grateful for the trust and support of our clients, partners, and community. It’s a privilege to help families bring their visions to life and to be part of such an important investment in their futures. Many of our clients have become lifelong friends, and we’re honored by the lasting relationships we’ve built along the way.
Thanks to your trust, Falgout Homes has grown into one of the area’s leading custom home builders — and for that, we are truly thankful.
As the owner of Falgout Homes, LLC (formerly Gus J. Falgout Jr. Enterprises), Gus Falgout Jr. was born and raised in Raceland, LA, and has been building homes since 1978. He began his career working alongside his father, Gus Falgout Sr., where he developed a deep passion for custom homebuilding and carrying on the family tradition. Gus continues to reside in Raceland but plans to relocate to Gonzales, LA in the near future to be closer to his grandchildren.
Nicholas Falgout
Nick Falgout was born and raised in Raceland, LA, where he spent summers and holidays working alongside his father from the age of 12. His father believed that instilling a strong work ethic and exposing Nick to the demands of labor would inspire him to pursue higher education. Nick went on to attend Louisiana State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering in 2018. That same year, he obtained his Louisiana residential contractor’s license, and in 2022, he became a licensed Professional Engineer in the state. Throughout his career, Nick developed a strong passion for homebuilding and a desire to continue the family legacy, working toward the possibility of becoming the third generation to carry on the Falgout Homes name. He currently resides in Baton Rouge, LA.
